Transparency Reports on Hazing

Transparency Reports on Hazing

UC Merced is committed to fostering a secure and nurturing environment across all facets of its academic enterprise, encompassing learning, teaching, research, and service. Aligned with this dedication, the university complies with the Stop Campus Hazing Act, a federal mandate aimed at ensuring transparency and accountability in disclosing campus hazing statistics. This comes in the form of a transparency report that will be updated twice a year.

This report will include: the name of the student organization, the dates that the hazing behavior occurred, the date that the University started a hazing investigation, the date that investigation ended with a hazing finding, the date that the University gave notice to the organization of the investigation's outcome, a description of the violation, what sanctions were given, and whether or not drugs/alcohol were involved.

This report will not include information about ongoing hazing investigations, reports where there was not a finding of hazing, or reports from unrecognized student organizations. If there are no findings of hazing within the report's timeline, it will state that there are no current findings of hazing.

As of 12/02/2025, there are no findings of hazing between the dates of January 1, 2025 to December 02, 2025.
